The Unfinished City: Paris (April 17 to 24, 2027) is organised and sold by The Spaceship Academy Ltd (trading as Paris Experiential Learning Programs), registered in England and Wales (no. 12802122), Kemp House, 160 City Road, London EC1V 2NX. Your contract is with us, not with Florida State University or OLLI at FSU.

Price and payments. $4,950 per person sharing a double room (single supplement $1,000). Deposit $1,500 at registration, $1,500 by January 15, 2027, balance by February 15, 2027. Your place is confirmed when we receive your deposit. The Deposit is therefore non-refundable, except that a participant who withdraws by written notice to Spaceship within seven (7) calendar days of registering will receive a full refund of the Deposit. What is and isn't included is listed in the program brochure; airfare and travel insurance are not included.

If you cancel (tell us by email):

Notice received Refund
By February 15, 2027 Within seven calendar days of registering: full refund of the deposit on written withdrawal. After that window: the deposit is forfeited; installments already paid beyond it are refunded less amounts irrevocably committed to suppliers on your behalf, which we will document. You are not obligated to pay installments not yet due when we receive written cancellation.
After February 15, 2027 No refund

If we cancel or postpone the departure, including because the agreed minimum enrollment is not reached, we refund everything you paid to us, including the deposit. We are not responsible for flights or other costs you booked yourself, so we strongly recommend travel insurance.

Taking part. The program involves 2 to 4 miles of walking a day. We may change visits or speakers when necessary, replacing them with something of similar standard. We are not liable for events beyond our control or for activities you arrange yourself. These terms are governed by Florida law.

Entry requirements (checked October 9, 2026). Travelers are responsible for checking and obtaining the passport, visa or travel authorization required for their nationality and itinerary. U.S. passport holders generally do not need a visa for short visits to France within the Schengen limit of 90 days in any 180-day period. Other nationalities should check France-Visas. ETIAS is currently not operating and applications are not being accepted. Whether it will be required for the April 17 to 24, 2027 program will depend on the launch date, transitional arrangements and individual exemptions. Check the official EU ETIAS website before departure and apply if required; do not assume approval will be immediate. The published application fee is EUR 20, with fee exemptions for applicants under 18 or over 70; a fee exemption does not itself remove an authorization requirement. The EU Entry/Exit System (EES) is a separate border-registration process that may include a facial image and fingerprints. Entry decisions remain with the border authorities.

Official entry information: France-Visas; EU ETIAS; EU Entry/Exit System (EES).
